Kayserispor have lifted the Fortis Turkish cup trophy after beating Gençlerbirliği 11-10 after penalties in the match played at Bursa Atatürk stadium.

Following a goalless 90 minutes, the match went into extra time but none of the the two teams were able to break the deadlock in the additional period.

Kayserispor players converted 11 of 14 penalty kicks, while Gençlerbirliği remained at 10.

Dimitar Ivankov (2), Alioum Saidou, Aydın Toscalı, Kemal Okyay, Cesar Toledo, Mehmet Topuz, Kamber Arslan, Leonardo Iglesias and Ali Turan made no mistake from the spot, while Gençlerbirliği's successful takers were Mehmet Çakır, Mehmet Nas, Engin, Ergün, Hakan, Tuna, Addo, Kerem, Peric, Kahe.

Kayserispor's Koray Çölgecen, Turgay Bahadır and Alioum Saidou missed their penalties. For Gençlerbirliği Kahe, Abdelzaher El Saka, Ergün Teber and Mehmet Çakır failed to score from the spot.

Meanwhile, Gençlerbirliği midfield player Mehmet Nas has been chosen "The Man of the match" by media representatives.
