Foreign TV Observer System Will Be Initiated In Trendyol Super League

Foreign TV observer system, which Turkish Football Federation has included in its program for the development of Turkish refereeing, will be initiated as of Matchday 26 of Trendyol Super League.

10 foreign observers, including UEFA's former elite referees, will serve Turkish football in the new era.

The scores given by foreign observers will constitute 50% of the referee scoring system

10 foreign observers who hold senior positions in UEFA will evaluate and rate the referees officiating in Trendyol Super League starting this week. The scores given by this observer group will constitute 50% of the referee rating system in the new period and will have a decisive role in performance assessments. The other 50% of the rating will be determined by the survey evaluation that will be made by 119 people consisting of the VAR staff, referees and observers working in the top two leagues, as well as field observers.

The names of the foreign observers who will start working in Trendyol Super League from Matchday 26 are as follows:

  • Mike Riley (England)
  • David Borbalan (Spain)
  • Cees Bakker (Netherlands)
  • Alan Snoddy (Northern Ireland)
  • Lucilio Batista (Portugal)
  • Alexs Deacon (Romania)
  • William Young (Scotland)
  • Bo Karlsson (Sweden)
