President Yardımcı attends UEFA Executive Committee Meeting and UEFA Congress

Türkiye Football Federation President and UEFA Executive Committee Member Servet Yardımcı attended UEFA Executive Committee Meeting and UEFA Congress which was held in Vienna, Austria.

President Servet Yardımcı firstly took part in the UEFA Executive Committee Meeting, which took place yesterday and where important decisions were taken regarding UEFA club competitions. Yardımcı also represented TFF at the 46th UEFA Ordinary Congress where Presidents and Executives of 55 member associations were present, together with TFF Board Member responsible for National Teams and Executive Committee Member Hamit Altıntop, TFF General Secretary Kadir Kardaş, International Relations and National Teams Administrative Director Buğra İmamoğulları.

At the congress held at the Messe Wien Exhibition and Convention Center, the financial report for the 2020/21 season and the budget for the 2022/23 season and the new members of the UEFA Organs for the Administration of Justice were approved. UEFA’s next congress will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, on April 5, 2023.

Yesterday, UEFA decided to increase the number of teams in the Champions League from 32 to 36 as of the 2024-2025 season, and to play the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League in a similar format.
