Losing 3-1 to Portugal in the semi-final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup European Qualifications play-off round our National Team lost its chance to participate in the World Cup finals.
In the match played at the Dragão Stadium, Portugal took the lead 2-0 with the goals of Otavio in the 15th minute and Diego Jota in the 42nd minute. Burak Yilmaz scored in the 65th minute for Turkey. Burak Yılmaz missed a penalty in the 85th minute. Portugal won the match 3-1 with the goal of Matheus Nunes in the 90+4th minute.
Turkey will host Italy in a frendly match on Tuesday, March 29 in Konya. The match at Konya Metropolitan Stadium will start at 21.45.
