Turkish Football Federation General Secretary Abdullah Ayaz met with Mexican Football Federation Deputy General Secretary Enrique Nieto during halftime of the friendly match between Türkiye and Mexico, as part of preparations for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, which will begin in September.

The meeting took place at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where the match was held. The meeting, which included the exchange of friendly messages, concluded with the presentation of gifts.
