U16 National Team, coached by Abdullah Ercan, defeated Poland 2-1 in their third match of Victor Bannikov Cup which is held in Ukraine. The Group B game was played in Boryspil Stadium, Ukraine and Turkey's goals came from Taylan Antalyalı (Min. 14) and Burhan Yıldız (Min. 17) while, Adrian Cierpka (Min. 9) hit the target for Poland.
With this result, Turkey finished Group B in 2nd place. U16s will face Serbia, Group A Runner-Up, in the 3rd place of the tournament on 19 June Sunday at 11.00 with Turkish local time.
In the final, the winners of Group A and B, Ukraine and Russia, will face for the championship of the cup.
Turkey had losen to Russia 3-2 and had defeated Italy 2-0 in their previous matches of the tournament.
