Ankara, the participant team from Turkey in UEFA Regions Cup, lost to Belgrade (Serbia) 2-0 in their last match of UEFA Regions Cup Final Round Group B which is held in Minho region, Portugal. The match was played in Complexo Desportivo Fao Stadium and Belgrade's (Serbia) goals came from Stefan Zivkovic (Min. 44) and Ognjen Gostiljac (Min. 72). Ankara's (Turkey) players, Taha Derin (Min. 55) and Halim Dönmez (Min. 70), were sent-off from the game.
With this result, Ankara (Turkey) lost their chance to qualify to the final and eliminated from UEFA Regions Cup Final Round in group stage by finishing Group B in 3rd place with 4 points.
In the day's other match of the group Leinster & Munster (Rep. of Ireland) beat South Region Russia (Russia) 2-1 and wrote their name on the final match table.
Leinster & Munster (IRL) will face Braga (POR),the winner of Group A, in the final on 28 June 2011 Tuesday.
Ankara (Turkey) had drawn 0-0 against Lienster & Munster (Rep. of Ireland) and had defeated South Region Russia (Russia) 2-1 in their previous matches of UEFA Regions Cup Final Round Group B.
