TFF Super Cup organized annualy by Turkish Football Federation is won by Fenerbahçe in its second year. Cologne RheinEnergie Stadium which hosted 2006 World Cup matches witnessed a fine display by Yellow Canaries. Fortis Turkish Cup winners Beşiktaş that won last years Super Cup against Galatasaray were unable to recover from Mateja Kezman's 85th minute strike.

31800 spectators in RheinEnergie Stadium watched a very enjoyable first half display from both teams. Brazilian Deivid de Souza converted the pass he received from Alex on the 14th minute. However his fellow citizen Bobo levelled the score 6 minutes later with a well balanced volley from close range. As the first half ended with scores even, second half started with a low tempo.

Both teams got the chances but mistakes were left unpunished till 85th minute. Serbia international Mateja Kezman beat Hakan Arıkan after a fine pass from Deniz Barış and brought the Super Cup to Kadıköy.

TFF Super Cup was given to Fenerbahçe captain Alex de Souza by TFF President Haluk Ulusoy and then festivities begun.
