UEFA Uluslar B Ligi’nde Galler, İ zlanda ve Karada ğ ’la e ş le ş en ay-yıldızlı takımımızın amacı, ülke futbolumuzun sahip oldu ğ u gerçek potansiyeli yansıtacak A Ligi’ne yükselebilmek. Millîlerimiz bu hedefe ula ş abilmenin ikinci aya ğ ında İ zlanda’yı a ğ ırlayacak. Bu kar ş ıla ş ma, Federasyonumuzun yeni yönetimi olarak ev sahipli ğ i yapaca ğ ımız ilk maç. Yola birlikte devam etti ğ imiz teknik direktörümüz Vincenzo Montella’ya ve ay-yıldızlı formayı giyen ülkemizin seçkin oyuncularına sonuna kadar güveniyor, onlardan bugün güzel bir oyun ve 90 dakikanın sonunda milletimize arma ğ an edece ğ imiz bir galibiyet bekliyoruz. İ zlanda’yı a ğ ırlayaca ğ ımız İ zmir ş ehri, İ stanbul’dan sonra en çok millî maça ev sahipli ğ i yapan ve ay-yıldızlıların yuvası olan bir kent. Bu kar ş ıla ş manın güzel İ zmir’imizin 102 yıl önce dü ş man i ş galinden kurtuldu ğ u 9 Eylül gününde oynanacak olması da maça ayrı bir anlam ve önem kazandırıyor. İ zmirli futbolseverlerin bugün ellerindeki ay-yıldızlı bayrakları ve gönüllerindeki kazanma a ş kıyla Millî Takımımıza büyük bir destek vereceklerine yürekten inanıyorum. İ zlanda Futbol Federasyonu yetkililerini, teknik heyetini ve futbolcularını ülkemizde a ğ ırlamaktan mutluluk duyuyor ve kendilerine ‘ho ş geldiniz’ diyorum. Maça ev sahipli ğ i yapan Göztepe Kulübü ile Millî Takımımıza destek veren tüm kurum ve kurulu ş lara katkılarından dolayı te ş ekkür ediyorum. Dear football fans; Our national team, which made us proud by playing in the quarter-finals of EURO 2024, is now in a new test. Our national team, which is drawn with Wales, Iceland and Montenegro in UEFA Nations League B Group 4, aim to rise to League A, which will reflect the true potential of our national football. Our national teamwill host Iceland in the second step of achieving this goal. This match is the first match we host as the new board of our Federation.
