U17 European Championship Matchday 2 5/7/2008

UEFA U17 European Championship continues as 4 matches took place in Matchday 2. In group A, Turkish U17's beat Scotland 1-0, as Netherlands beat Serbia with the same score line. In Group B, Switzerland beat Republic of Ireland 1-0 as France and Spain 3-3 in a very entertaining group match.

Turkey  1-0 Scotland

Turkish U17 National Team coached by Şenol Ustaömer beat Scotland in the second group match and guarantee a semi final place in the tournament. Emrah Yollu's goal on 13. minute bring Turkey the victory needed for the qualification.

Switzerland beat Ireland Republic 1-0 in the second group match of U17 European Championship. Gavin Gunning's own goal in 49 minute gave Swiss the lead and this kept hopes of Swiss qualification alive as Ireland remained pointless after 2 matches.
