FIFA U-20 WC Trophy Tour to kick off

As part of the FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013, which runs from 21 June to 13 July, and presented by one of the National Supporters of the tournament, Halkbank, the Trophy Tour kicks off in Kayseri on 20-21 April. The tour will take in each of the tournament's seven host cities over the course of the next seven weekends.


The first stop on the Trophy Tour will be the Forum Kayseri Shopping Mall, which will be hosting the activities in Kayseri. The opening event on Saturday 20 April will be the presentation of Official Match Ball, the adidas Cafusa.

After that, the Trophy Tour Truck will open to the public from midday, with the participation Turkey 2013 Local Organisation Committee President Servet Yardımcı.

The truck containing the newly-designed FIFA U-20 World Cup Trophy, which will be presented to this year's winners for the first time, will be open to visitors in Kayseri between 12.00-22.00. The same opening hours will apply during the subsequent tours of the other six host cities.

Famous Turkish rock band GECE, who recorded the Officials Song of the tournament Yıldızlar Buradan Yükseliyor (Stars are rising here) will give a concert on Sunday 21 April at 17.00 in the event area. Admittance is free of charge.

In addition, football fans will be able to purchase tournament tickets from the mobile ticket offices that will be set up at the venue.

Entertainment opportunities for the fans

On top of the official programme of activities, entertainment in the form of PlayStation Corner and a touch screen quiz, as well as a variety of shooting and football games (including Kick-Point) will be offered to the fans in the event area where the Trophy Truck is located in each city. There will also be a giant TV screen showing clips of stars who have previously graced the FIFA U-20 World Cup, as well as a variety of photo opportunities for the public.
