U16 National Team, coached by Hakan Tecimer, lost to Georgia 4-3 by penalties in their first match of UEFA Development Cup which is held in Bulgaria.

The normal time of the game ended 1-1.

The match was played in Plovdiv Orizari Stadium, Bulgaria and Turkey's goal came from Volkan Pala (Min. 11) while Nika hit the target for Georgia in the normal time.

Besides, Furkan Emre Ünver from Turkey was sent-off from the game on 70th minute.

In the day's other match of the cup, Bulgaria beat Cyprus 2-0.

U16s will face Cyprus on 18 April 2013 Thursday in their second match of the cup.
