TFF has decided that TFF Super Cup will be held on 12 August 2011 Sunday in Yeni Erzurum Stadium, Erzurum. This year's TFF Super Cup will be played between Galatasaray, 2011-12 season's Spor Toto Super League winner, and Fenerbahçe, 2011-12 season's Ziraat Turkish Cup champion.

TFF Super Cup 2012 will start at 20.55 with Turkish local time. The game will be broadcasted by ATV in Turkey.

This year, TFF Super Cup will be held for the sixth time while, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe will meet first time in the cup history.

Besides, Galatasaray who will play their third TFF Super Cup game this season, won this for one time in 2006 while; Fenerbahçe will play also their third cup game that they won this cup two times before.
