The 13th edition of the Mercedes-Benz Aegean Cup 2012 has started today with the first day matches. Turkish U16 National Team beat USA 2-1 in a Group A game. The match was played in Soma Ataürk Stadium, Manisa, Turkey and Turkey's goals came from Egemen Zengin (Min. 8) and Berk Yıldız (Min. 46) while, DeAndre Robinson (Min. 54) hit the target for USA.

Turkey will face Czech Rep. in their second match of the group on 18 January 2012 Wednesday.

In the day's other match of Group A, Czech Rep. defeated Denmark 2-1. The match was played in Kula İlçe Stadium and Danis Stefan made a double strike (Min. 36 and 42) for Czech Rep. while, Denmark's only goal came from Mathias Andersen (Min. 65).

Group B Results:

In the first day matches of Group B; holders of the cup, France drew 3-3 against Ukraine in Akhisar İlçe Stadium. Ukraine was ahead against France with the goals coming from  Denys Arenduk, Viktor Kovalenko and Igor Nechay on 21st, 22nd and 29th minutes. France equaled the score with the goals of Neal Maupay, David Sambissa and Ulrich Nnomo on 34th, 38th and 70th minutes.

In the other match of Group B; Belgium beat France 5-4 with the goals of Zakaria Bakali, (Min. 3,17,42.), Charly Jr. Musonda (Min. 14) and the penalty of Andreas Perreira (Min. 27). Greece's goals came from Emmanouil Saliakas, (Min.43), the penalty of Nikolaos Vergos (Min.48) and Efthimios Koulouris (Min. 49 and 60).
