Turkey's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures in Group D have been determined with a draw held in the Dutch capital city Amsterdam on 21 December.

In the meeting, which took place in Sheraton Airport hotel at 09.00 CET, delegations decided that no further negotations would be needed on fixtures and agreed to advance into the draw directly.


The draw determined Turkey's fixtures as follows:

Abdullah Avcı: "It's an advantage to begin the campaign with The Netherlands"

Commenting on the 2014 FIFA World Cup fixtures determined with a draw, Turkey head coach Abdullah Avcı said: "I think it's an advantage to play against The Netherlands in the beginning and end of the qualifying campaign. We knew that Netherlands wanted to avoid us for a start. There are also some other valuable teams in the group but we target the first position. I believe we had a nice draw and feel confident about it."
