The Preliminary Draw of 2014 FIFA World Cup which will be held in Brazil was made today in Rio De Janeiro. At the end of the draw, Turkey found itself in Group D along with Netherlands, Hungary, Romania, Estonia and Andorra.

Besides, Turkey was respresented by Guus Hiddink, Turkey A National Team Head Coach, Oğuz Çetin, Turkey A National Team Assistant Coach, and Cüneyt Tanman, TFF Executive Member who is responsible for national teams in the draw.

2014 FIFA World Cup European Qualifying Groups:

Group A:
Croatia, Serbia, Belgium, Scotland, FYROM, Wales

Group B: Italy, Denmark, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Armenia, Malta

Group C: Germany, Sweden, Rep. of Ireland, Austria, Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan

Group D: Netherlands, Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Estonia, Andorra

Group E: Norway, Slovenia, Switzerland, Albania, Cyprus, Iceland

Group F: Portugal, Russia, Israel, Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg

Group G: Greece, Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lithuania, Latvia, Liechtenstein

Group H: England, Montenegro, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, San Marino

Group I: Spain, France, Belarus, Georgia, Finland

In the European qualifying competition, to be played between 7 September 2012 and 15 October 2013, the teams will be divided into eight groups of six teams and one of five. The nine section winners progress straight to the finals in Brazil - to be held from 12 June to 13 July 2014 - and the eight best runners-up will play off for the remaining four berths over two legs from 15 to 19 November 2013, with the winners of those matches also competing in Brazil.
