U16s finish Victor Bannikov Cup in 4th place

U16 National Team, coached by Abdullah Ercan, was defeated 1-0 by Serbia in the 3rd place match of Victor Bannikov Cup which was held in Ukraine. The match was played in Bannikov Stadium and Nikola Ivkovic (Min. 11) scored the only goal of the game.

With this result, Turkey finished the cup in the 4th place. Besides, Taylan Antalyalı, captain of Turkey, was selected as the best midfielder of the cup.

In the final of Victor Bannikov Cup, hosts Ukraine beat Russia 3-0 and became the champions of the tournament.

Turkey had losen to Russia 3-2 while, had defeated Italy 2-0 and Poland 2-1 in their previous matches of the tournament.
