U16s beat Italy in Victor Bannikov Cup: 2-0

U16 National Team, coached by Abdullah Ercan, defeated Italy 2-0 in in their second match of Victor Bannikov Cup which is held in Ukraine. The Group B game was played in Boryspil Stadium, Ukraine and Turkey's goals came from Hasan Karakaş (Min. 40) and Taylan Antalyalı (Min. 67).

In the day's other match of the group, Poland beat Russia 2-1.

U16s will face Poland in their last match of the group on 18 June 2011 Saturday at 16.00 with Turkish local time.

Turkey had been defeated 3-2 by Russia in their first match of the tournament.
