U19 Women National Team was beaten against Romania 3-2 in 2010/2011 UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship First Qualiyfing Round Group 9. The match was played at Horni Pocernice Stadium where Czech Republic is the host team of the group. Romania's goals came from Stefania Vatafu (Min.52, Min.60) and Andrea Herczeg (Min.55) while, Leyla Güngör (Min.45 and Min.82) scored two goals for Turkey. In the day's other group match, host team Czech Republic beat Northern Ireland 4-2.
Turkey will face Czech Republic on 13 September at Aritma Praha Stadium.

The 44 associations participating in the first qualifying round are drawn into 11 groups of four teams. Based on the current coefficient ranking list, the best-ranked team, Germany, will join the competition in the second qualifying round. The team with a bye for the first qualifying round, the 11 group winners, the 11 runners-up and the best third-ranked team from the first qualifying roundplay the second qualifying round. To determine the best third-placed team from the first qualifying round, only the results of the third-placed team against the winners and runners-up in each group are taken into account. The host association of the final round - Italy - qualifies automatically for the final round which will be played on 30 May-11 June 2011.
