Draw made for 2010/11 UEFA Women Youth Championships

The draw for the 2010/11 European Women U19 and U17 Championships qualifying round has been made in the UEFA headquarters in Nyon.

After the draw for U19 Championship, Turkey have been drawn in Group 9 together with Czech Republic, Romania and Northern Ireland. Czech Republic will host games which are to be played 11-16 September 2010. 44 teams are divided into 11 groups of four, with the top two in each section progressing along with the third-placed side with the best record against the leading pair in their pool. Hosts Italy will directly advance into the finals, while top seeds Germany given a bye to the second qualifying round.

Following the U17 Championship draw, Turkey paired with England, Belgium and Armenia in Group 6. The games on 3-8 October 2010 will be hosted by Belgium. 40 teams are split into ten groups of four. he groups will be played as one-venue mini-tournaments in autumn 2010. The winners and the five runners-up with the best record against those first and third in their pool will join top seeds Germany in the second qualifying round the following spring.
