Ankara qualified to UEFA Regions Cup Intermediary Round from Preliminary Round Group A by beating Guernsey 3-0 in their last match of the group which is held at Croatia. The match was played in Pokraj Jadra Stadium, Solin and Turkey's goals came from Atilla Çetin (Min.67), Emre Yasin (Min.90+3) and Fatih Deniz (Min.90+5). In their previous matches of the group, Turkey had beaten Gwent County 4-1 and had drawn against Recija Dalmacije 0-0.

Twelve associations participate in the preliminary round of UEFA Regions Cup. Three groups of four teams will be drawn. The three group winners and the two best runners-up from the preliminary round qualify for the intermediate round. To determine the two best runners-up from the preliminary round, only the results of the runners-up against the winners and third-ranked team in each group will be taken into account.

Thirty-two teams contest the intermediate round, namely:  the three group winners from the preliminary round; the two best runners-up from the preliminary round; the 27 teams which did not participate in the preliminary round. For the intermediate round, the teams are drawn into eight groups of four and the eight group winners qualify for the final round.

The 2010/11 UEFA Regions' Cup finals will be held at a yet-to-be-decided location in June 2011. Traditionally, the tournament is hosted by one of the eight regions - or national associations - that qualify for the finals.
