 U17 National Team lose to Iceland: 2-0

U17 National Team lost to hosts Iceland 2-0 in their second match of 2010-2011 UEFA European U17 Championship Qualifying Round Group 7. The match was played at Vikingsvöllur Stadium and Hermannsson (Min.57), Sigurionsson Min.80+4 (P)) were the scorers for Iceland. Okan Deniz was sent-off on 75th minute from Turkey.

In the first matches of the group, Turkey had beaten Armenia 3-0 while, Iceland had lost to Czech Republic 4-2. In the day's other match of the group, Czech Republic drew against Armenia 1-1.

Teams from the qualifying round play the Elite Round. To determine the two best third-placed teams from the qualifying round, only the results of the third-placed team against the winners and runners-up in each group are taken into account. Elite Round is conducted to place the 28 participating associations into seven groups of four teams each. The 7 group winners qualify to the Final Round will be played in Serbia from 3 to 15 May 2011 with seven teams joining the host nation. The host association of the final round - Serbia - qualifies automatically for the final round.
